Chart.js Showcase is a Joget DX 9 app of 26 working chart pages for developers who build dashboards with the ChartJs menu.

A business user asks for a stacked bar, a target line or a second axis, and the developer opens the Chart.js docs to work out how it fits inside a Joget userview menu. Chart.js Showcase answers that on one dataset. Part A: Basics shows what the menu settings alone produce. Part B: Advanced shows what a footer script adds, and the note on each page names the gap that script fills.

Key Features

  • Draws Bar, Line, Area, Pie, Donut, Polar Area, Radar, Bubble and Scatter charts in Part A, each with a table, filter and PDF and CSV download set in the menu.
  • Runs Bar, Line and Area with no footer script; Pie, Donut, Polar Area and Radar carry a one-line footer, and Bubble and Scatter a footer that builds the points.
  • Shows 17 Part B demos, one per menu, including stacked, horizontal and two-axis charts, currency labels and brand colours.
  • Adds waterfall, target line, SLA band, range band and centre-total donut charts on core Chart.js, with no add-on library.
  • Gives every Part B footer a way to find its own chart, so a Custom Footer copies into another app without editing an id.
  • Reads every chart from a Joget list on one fictional manufacturer, Aurelia Industries: 10 forms and 2,291 seed rows.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which Joget version does Chart.js Showcase need?

Chart.js Showcase was built and checked on Joget DX 9.1.1 with ChartJs Menu 8.0.3 and the Datalist Number Formatter plugin.

Do I need to write a script to draw a chart in a Joget userview?

Not for Bar, Line and Area. Pie, Donut, Polar Area, Radar, Bubble and Scatter need a short footer, and all 17 Part B demos use one.

Does Chart.js Showcase need internet access?

No. Every chart runs on the Chart.js that the ChartJs Userview Menu Plugin ships. No add-on library is loaded.
